Just wanted to add a little more context to yesterday’s look at [furl and delicious](http://www.redmonk.com/jgovernor/archives/000254.html).

[Jon Udell](http://weblog.infoworld.com/udell/) questioned my insto-analysis via [googlefight](http://www.googlefight.com/) by pointing out i should have used “” marks around the search terms. fair enough – that search tells a different story, and is more granular in this case.

“del.icio.us api” => 724

and

“furl api” => 0

Thanks very much Jon, and i must say those numbers make more sense in terms of the del.ici.ous conversations i have been following. The line in the sand–furl user friendly, del.ici.ous developer friendly–is even more relevant with those numbers in mind.

The real update however is to point you, dear reader, to [Matt Biddulph](http://www.hackdiary.com/)‘s [Introducing del.ici.ous](http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2004/11/10/delicious.html).
