hackdiary: Last.fm isn’t just for humans
This is very interesting. For those of you that don’t know- the Last.FM is a service that tracks everything you listen to and lets you build social networks around your preferences. Its my favourite declarative living/tag gardening combo. Indeed I lately called it the most exciting startup in Europe (in part goaded by Dan Carlin, the BusinessWeek reporter).
But this is something I had not seen: UK hacking god Matt Biddulph apparently stuck a Radio 6 feed into the Last.fm, so if you want to see what the station has played, then go here.
My own Last.fm info can be found here.
The businessweek article is a pretty good one if you want to know more about Last.fm.
I still can’t work out why it needs to hire people people. They should be swamped. What is up with British developers? If I was a coder I would send in my resume.

Have you looked at Soundflavor? I only came across it because it was written up as a case study by Adaptive Path, who are usually pretty good.
Soundflavor seems to be like last fm, but without the social networking element. Can’t see the point myself, as I put in my blog. Why not just listen to Radio 6? Or repeats of Late Junction?
