Not sure what to make of the epithet, so i guess thanks are in order Catherine Helzerman.
Catherine said: “The Stephen he references is Stephen O’Grady of rogue analyst firm, RedMonk. His blog is also a must have on your RSS reader.”
So we’re rogues, eh? (some of the definitions are pretty brutal.)
Catherine is cool. She wears cool glasses. She also has a very clueful blog.
Odd Bits is: insightful, work oriented. humour leavened, full of personality and just a good read. Anyone at IBM could learn from the great work she is doing. And if you do work at IBM you should definitely subscribe – especially if like Catherine you work in the analyst relations department.
Catherine has established a great conversational tone… I like it. Even if she does call my company rogue.
There are some great technical bloggers at IBM, and executive bloggers too doing solid work, but Catherine is interested in all ideas, not just those that apply to IBM. She is more competitive by being less competitive; that is a blogosphere lesson.
Another blogosphere lesson – use the word mullet occasionally. Catherine even posted some photos…
