I have been using the w.bloggar client for posting to MT. Its OK but the lack of wysiwyg and categories was beginning to get to me. Stephen and Cote have both been asking for someone somewhere to do the right thing and come up with a decent offline blogging client, with auto-complete for people as links (purls?), easy media formatting and so on. We havent got what we’re looking for yet. Anyway i finally decided to try some others namely ecto and qumana.
So this is from ecto – no wysiwyg. very nice linking to MT though; seamless and a delight to set up. So props to ecto. How about that a little piccy. See Dennis.
Just took a look and realised there are some Ecto issues. more later, this is me using w.bloggar 4.0.
the last version needed some editing anyway. both source and my mangled engish english

Have you tried Qumana yet ? if not, please let me provide you with a URL to a version we call Qumana Lite, which does not have the annoying crippleware function embedded in it … and which has a degree better of simplicity and usability than the version we are offering on the web site.
We are in the middle of implementing a new web site, and will be offering Qumana Lite for free once the site is up and launched … we have what we believe is very good wysiwyg, great image handling and posting, and the ability to post to as many blog destinations as you wish with minimal clicks.
If you’d be interested in looking at Qumana Lite, please email me at the address I’ve left in your blog’s comment section.
