Chris Byrne is the man when it comes to Notes meets operational and business controls. In this blog he points to some neat tools that allow export from Lotus Notes e-mail to rich text, which could be collected in a repository and used to build an email archiving service, a requirement for SEC Compliance. Just goes to show you don’t need to find a new vendor or buy some new product to help with a compliance oriented architecture – on the contrary you should look to sweat existing assets, especially where they provide horizontonal network services that are useful in compliance to areas such as Sarbanes-Oxley 404.
I plan to keep an eye on the toolbox – and any Notes shop with some compliance responsibilities should subscribe to ControlsCaddy.
