This is traditional developer-think versus systems admin-think. Poor sustainability, manageability and repeatability are things that cost you time and money over and over and over. “next Tuesday” systems have, in my experience, require a significant amount of hand holding.
Standardizing on an agile application environment is pointless without trying to define what an agile systems environment looks like.
