Dale has hired Martin, Joyce and Tony in the space of a month or so. Freeform is now the up and comer in the UK, having doubled in size. Lets hope Dale can break through the independent analyst firm ego ceiling, and scale the business further.
Tony Lock is a brilliant guy – one of those lifecycle thinkers from a systems background that can think across silos and explain accordingly. He joins Jon Collins, as another lifecycle thinker of no little merit.
Joyce Becknell is a firecracker – too much like me for us to to have an entirely comfortable relationship, but she puts vendor feet to the fire, and knows the IBM server story down cold. She will bring new customers to Dale from day one.
We partner with Freeform Dynamics for primary research. The model is great – vendor sponsored primary research, which is then made freely available. its a patronage economy/open source model, which is why I like it so much. Like I say, I hope Dale’s business goes from strength to strength.
further disclaimer: I may well start something really cool with Dale this year. More on that later.

James,
Out of curiosity what is the “independent analyst firm ego ceiling?”

analysts leave before the company can ever grow because egos get in the way…
