Let’s assume that age discrimination is the logical result of a set of assumptions. Without challenging those assumptions, we won’t effect change. The difficulty arises if we are all pretty sure that those assumptions are valid. This talk will challenge these assumptions: that modularity is good, that agile software development is progress, that we are becoming more innovative. We also review stratagems for mitigating the effects of age discrimination in a world where the underlying assumptions persist.
