As I mentioned in this week’s DrunkAndRetired.com podcast, I have quite a lot going on over the next 4-5 days:
- BarCamp Austin II is tonight and tomorrow. I’m a big fan of barcamp and I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time.
- SXSW starts today and runs through Tuesday. After which there’s SXSW Music all next week in the evenings.
- And as the icing on the cake, 4 different parts of the family and in-laws are in town: Kim’s mother, Kim’s sister and family, my sister and her new daughter, and my mother. My dad’s family jokingly calls it “FFF”: Forced Family Fun ;>
It’s the perfect calendar storm!
Obviously, I won’t be able to cover and attend BarCamp and SXSWi as much as I’d hoped for, which is fine: “covering” the family is much more exciting than either of those. That said, you can expect several blog posts, tweats from Twitter, photos, and hopefully some podcasts.
It’d be nice to do something at barcamp, esp. a panel/group discussion. Along with several people I’ve been twittering with, I’ll have to see what’s going on on the ground when I get there.
