Greetings from the Holiday Inn Express in Grand Island, NE. I got off significantly later than planned today for a variety of reasons, but managed to knock out a bit over 400 miles. That’s the good news. The bad news is that I still have more than 1300 to go before I get to my folks place in NJ on Friday, where I’ll be stopping over prior to attending a Saturday wedding.
But no complaints thus far. I’m almost halfway through an audiobook I picked up for the trip – Stephen King’s latest – and I’ve received word from my very kind neighbor back in Maine that Az is doing just fine. Oh, and the Holiday Inn here is proving the axiom that the more expensive the hotel, the more likely it is that they charge for wireless. In this $79 room, the wireless is free. That pretty much guarantees that when I stop tomorrow night I’ll be looking for a Holiday Inn.
