After a full day of packing and tending to some last minute items, I’m about to hop in the car and begin the long journey eastward. I can’t say that I’m looking forward to it, but I am definitely excited about the prospect of getting in some quality time back in my favorite state.
As discussed previously, I’ll be driving for the next two days so don’t expect much of anything from me. Will try and take some pictures along the way, and keep everyone apprised of my progress, but in the event that you don’t hear from me for a couple of days you’ll know why.
Talk to you all soon.

Drive carefully and slowly.

I’ve always enjoyed my cross country trips. Done Detroit – Seattle twice, and Seattle – Washington DC once. We took 3 weeks to do the Seattle – Washington DC trip though.
Reminds you what a great country this is.

sogsr: slow would have taken too long.
Dave: parts of the country are gorgeous – Western PA, for example. others, less so.
but our infrastructure really is incredible. a thousand miles a day just isn’t that difficult.
