Thought I’d follow the lead of some of the good folks from Planet Gentoo (see here, here, here, here, here, or here) and the folks from del.icio.us and give everyone an idea of what we work off of here at RedMonk Denver. If you follow the inline Flickr link, I’ve got breakdowns on what the pictured hardware is running OS-wise. The picture will be complicated shortly as my new x40 arrives and I procure a replacement workstation, but for the time being this is what I’ve got to work with.

that's the paperback rack, so lots of Tony Hillerman, John D MacDonald, and STATS Inc Scounting Notebooks. nothing too intriguing š

hahaha – that's actually the PII box running W2K for the monitor in the center.
and if you don't believe that, it's the secret terminal where i developed OS X for x86 š

What is the purpose of that cardboard box in the background in the top righthand corner?

took me a minute to figure out what you were referring to, but as you well know Floyd that's to keep Az (my cat) from getting up into the damn ductwork and running around the ceiling via the pipes.
for those interested, i've updated the Flickr shot with a note.
