Show Notes
- Brandon goes to the Tool concert.
- Sparefoot & uShip
- Group, flash buying sites – several in Austin as profiled in Austin Startup. (See Groupon wikipedia entry for a short overview of the space.)
- What happened to the WTO brick-throwers?
- Socialware gets $1.5M a-round. From my foggy memory or talking with someone, they’re working on middleware to integrate with social networks. Their site speaks to that kind of stuff. Sync – to “backup” all your stuff in social networks, good for regulatory freakout. Compass – seems to be policy hub for your employees doing social media things.
- Infochimps API for Twitter and Census stuff – data markets.
- QRANK getting some love – Brandon mentioned them back in episode #3 – venues can start games, and then people with the app can play trivia – kind of decentralized bar trivia system.
