Yet another strange weather day here in Denver. A passing winter storm dumped several inches downtown, but by afternoon the snow was melting fast and the folks you can barely see sledding on this hill were running out of time. What’s the weather supposed to be like tomorrow? Mid-50’s, of course.
I’m bummed to miss the Eclipse folks partying up in Keystone tonight, but Denver drivers are surprisingly bad when there’s rain or snow or sleet on the ground, so what would normally be a two hour drive would have taken far longer. You’d think that a city used to snowfalls measured in feet rather than inches would be skilled in driving in snow, but they’re not in my experience. The folks here are not bad on, say, a New York City scale, but they’re not good overall. Certainly not up to Maine standards. I blame the high volume of transplants from other areas of the country..
Either way, today is one of those days when it’s nice – very nice – to work out of the house. It took a friend of mine two and a half hours to get up to Boulder this morning.
