Yes, We Blog About Non-Clients

Share via Twitter Share via Facebook Share via Linkedin Share via Reddit

I think most of you realize this already, but since someone asked about it the other day let me confirm that James and I do not restrict our topics to blog to clients. Like our policy on taking briefings, we are not a pay for play organization and never will be. We write on subjects of interest to us, and hope those are also of interest to both our readers and our actual customers. Looking at the mentions on my front page right now, only Sun is a client; folks like Google, SourceLabs and Splunk are not, nor are non-commercial entities such as Ryan’s lesscode or Jonathan’s yubnub.

Put simply, one does not need to pay us anything to be mentioned here; you just have to do something innovative or interesting. This place would get stale fast if we only blogged on what our paying clients were up to. Hope that helps if anyone was unclear.
