Due mostly to the highly unfortunate timing of the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles, I’m writing this from the all-too-familiar surroundings of Logan airport as I await my flight back to Denver. Because they weren’t able to process my application before I left for the East Coast, I must now return to obtain my license plates as my temp plate expires next Monday. While the scheduling is regrettable as my parents are up this week, it’ll be good to be in Denver for a few days to see the friends I left behind to suffer through a brutally hot Colorado summer. And speaking of weather, I’ll be returning to Denver – and my air-conditioned apartment – following a stretch of the hottest weather Maine’s experienced all summer. The receptionist at my office actually apologized to me this morning for the heat and humidity.
Anyhow, what this means for all of you is that I’ll be in Denver for Thurs/Fri, back to the East coast Sun, and then out to Portland (the other Portland, the one n OR) next week for OSCON. Following that, I’m putting a full stop on non-voluntary travel for the month of August so that I can enjoy my last month in Maine. Your best bet to get ahold of me, therefore, from now through the end of next week, is my cell phone (617.320.9757), IM (AIM:SOGatRedMonk, [email protected], Skype: sogrady), and email – in that order. Any questions, just let me know.
