Cottages in Snow

We’re not quite here yet, but those days are coming. As soon as I leave, if the pattern holds.

For those who track my movements less than diligently, this weekend’s pitstop in my pseudo-home state was intended to save me the trouble of flying back to Denver tonight, only to hop a red eye back to my pseudo-hometown Sunday evening. Given that Az is infrequently deprived of my company for more than a few days at a shot, I stocked up on cans of Bumblebee Albacore Light before I left on this near two week junket.

So wish me luck with that.

Anyway, tomorrow and Sunday will be devoted mainly to paving the way for my return sometime in May, meaning that I’ll be making calls to the dock hauler and paying a visit to BFC Marine to see how the boat has fared over the winter.

But as all work and no play pisses me off, I’ll be breaking to catch up with some friends in the area, and I’m seriously looking forward to working in a few visits to the Bath Y. Mostly because it kicks the hell out of hotel gyms.

Monday morning I’ll catch the Downeaster down to Boston, where I’ll be through Thursday. Tuesday and Wednesday I’ll be at HP’s annual analyst event, and then I’ve got a client gig north of the city Thursday morning. My evening schedule – with the exception of Wednesday – is not yet completely destroyed, so drop me a line if you’d like to grab a beer.

Much as I enjoy visiting both Boston and Maine, however, I’m already somewhat anxious to get back to Denver. Mostly because the furry one is used to having me around, but also because my time in Colorado is rapidly nearing its end. Meaning that I need to cram as much face time in with the Denver crowd as possible before my summer migration, lest I return in the fall to a bunch of blank stares. Or, “who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house?”

It’s possible that I may also have an interesting, nay, fascinating, technical toy awaiting me, but I don’t want to jinx myself so I’ll hold that news for later.

If you don’t hear from me until Monday, enjoy your respective weekends, and drop me a line if you’ll be in Boston next week.
