While sitting in the waiting room at the Wiscasset Ford dealership. I’m finding podcasts an interesting diversion for those otherwise useless minutes spent perusing the latest Car & Driver, People or other periodicals at hand. I still don’t love them for travel – as I tend to like using the time to unwind as much as possible – but for the waiting room at least, they can’t be beat.
Anyhow, a bunch of interesting material on this session, including thoughts on Google’s evilness (Udell and my colleague should get together), Sun’s JDS (Gillmor is very positive, while Dana – I think it was Dana, anyway – was more skeptical), and Novell (Udell’s the only who brought Mono up, incidentally – a fact which I find odd).
I missed the last few minutes as I was busy choking on the 3K estimate I got for a new transmission (1800 for parts, another grand to drop it in. I love my SHO tho, so I may just suck it up and pay the man), but overall I recommend it. It’s not Gladwell good, but it’s definitely worth killing some time with.
