Here’s a last minute reminder (literally, I’m about to board my flight) to hit CommunityOne tomorrow if you are or will be within hailing distance of the Moscone Center tomorrow. Cote, James, myself and a few hundred dollars worth of RedMonk t-shirts will be in attendance, along with folks like ODF’s Gary Edwards, Sun’s Bryan Cantrill (of DTrace fame), Charles Nutter (of JRuby fame) & Simon Phipps (of general open source fame), IBM’s Savio Rodrigues (who’s proposed this session), and a variety of other interesting folks.
We’ve already had sessions proposed on bottom up marketing, open source governance, dynamic languages and Java (even more interesting in light of Microsoft’s DLR announcement), WS-* (from Dan @ Envoi Soluitions), the impact of agile on architecture (from Andrew @ Cap Gemini), open source repositories (from Philip @ Simula Labs), even one from Mark at Movement Design to look at how open source can influence water sharing and sanitation.
To answer your next question, no, it’s absolutely not too late to propose a session. As this is an unconference, we’ll all collectively decide the agenda before the conference, fitting as many sessions as we can into the space alloted.
So if you want to lead something, come on down. If you just want to learn, come on down. If you just want a t-shirt, well that’s ok too.
See you all tomorrow – and it’s not even that early.
