For those of you that are following my every move – you need to get out more. For those of you that just might have a need to drop me a line this week, below is my availability for the week. As always, the Grand Central line (617.395.5685) will remain your best option for getting in touch with me.

First Half of the Week

I’ll be at the MySQL conference in Santa Clara. As I told Marten in an email this week, I’m looking forward to getting a first hand look at the greater MySQL ecosystem, because my impression at this point is that it’s exploding. The initial plan was to leave Tuesday night (out of Oakland, unfortunately), but that may change – as it would be good to be at the show for Mark’s S3 Storage Engine session on Wednesday morning. This is the rare event that I’m not presenting or even moderating – although I do have some press responsibilities early Tuesday morning – so I should be relatively free if you want to catch me.

Second Half of the Week

Will be in Boston for the One Laptop Per Child analyst event Thursday afternoon. The OLPC program is the rarest of blends in this industry: a project at once technically interesting and socially relevant. I’m keenly interested in learning more about the project, and hearing from the folks behind it – both technical and not. I probably will not make the Thursday night flight, so it’s likely that I’ll be in/around Boston for Friday if you want to meet up.
