i didn’t even understand EC2 enough to get that this would be hard – i couldn’t understand why there were no instructions for generating images; thank god for forums – running through this now

the folks from Amazon should really clean this up; i suspect we’ll be hearing a lot more about this as virtualized grid approaches become more popular
