And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp’d towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind.”

Or, it’s time to get back to work.

Though I cannot so readily accept the end of the summer season – let alone my vacation, my travel schedule doesn’t bear arguing – the fall conference schedule is lurching back into gear. Loathe as I am to admit it.

Tomorrow is NYC via a series of trains, and if you’re in the area please do join some Friends of RedMonk and possibly a Brother of RedMonk at the Stoned Crow around 9ish for RedMonk Evening Services. With cocktails.

Wednesday will find me still in NYC, at least until early evening at which point I’ll be en route to good old San Francisco. Not via a series of trains. Thursday I’ll be at the Office 2.0 show, and all of you Bay Area folken are expected to attend RedMonk Evening Services @ the House of Shields. Featuring even more cocktails. Presuming I survive two services in a single week, Friday is likely to be spent with clients in the Bay Area and then I’ll be winging my way back to Maine that evening.

If summer’s not still here when I get back, someone is going to be very unhappy. And it’s (probably) not going to be me.
