no one is to show this to my parents, the new owners of an iMac courtesy of my brother. so far, they’re happy, but we’ll see if that lasts considering that i couldn’t get their Canon i850 printer working (worked flawlessly on Ubuntu)

as much as I would want this to be the year of Linux, I now know it will not. Until Linux comes pre-installed *and* people buy the new computer *with* it pre-installed, linux is still too hard for “Bill and Judith Wheeler” to install and use. – bummer of bummers.
