Marc is right, this is good to see. any shell, after all, is better than the current default. and i mean _any_ shell.

agree with Ashlee on the questions around open source, disagree on questions of standards. apart from my query history, everything i put into Google i can extract via POP3, XMPP, ODF, and so on.
