Got Office?

Thankfully, I can now answer that question in the affirmative. After a bit of shopping around, I’ve finally settled on a quiet little third floor office here at the Brunswick Business Center. Brunswick, for those of you who are familiar with schools in the Northeast, is home to none other than my brother’s alma mater, Bowdoin. Not only is it a nice little college town, it’s also a short 20 minute ride to the family place over in Georgetown.

The good news is that I have first class network access, phone and all the necessary office trimmings. The bad news is that while I have a phone it’s an extension rather than a direct line so I can’t point the RedMonk toll free (866.RED.MONK) at it. Once I set up the Packet8 VOIP line I use for home, however, I may just point it at that. Or I may set up something like AccessLine to get around it.

In the interim, however, I can be reached in the office at 207.373.9329, and I’m at extension 311. The cell, 617.320.9757, is also an option if you can’t reach me in the office. Oh, and I shouldn’t forget Skype (ID: sogrady) – I installed it just in time for a quick chat with Friend of RedMonk Stephe Walli this afternoon, and in spite of getting significantly damaged in my briefcase somewhere between here and Denver the headphones are in full working order.

Appreciate the patience with my semi-disconnected operations the past few days, but I should be back running at full capacity shortly. Well, not quite full capacity as I’m still running on a Windows XP partition with very little extra room on the partition, but with any luck I’ll have a new hard drive shortly. One of tomorrow’s projects, in fact, is likely to be purchasing the Nucleus software and running it against my corrupt partition.
