If kettles could talk what would they say? Laura Cowen keeps in touch with her mum just by knowing when she’s put on the kettle, no need for WhatsApp or a phone call. A talk about human emotions, empathy and hacking kitchen appliances. Andy Stanford-Clark is the IBM master innventor hovering in the foreground. The presentation is well shonky because it’s running on a raspberry pie powered by a hydrogen fuel cell.
