Spoken to a few techies who are heading up here to my neck of the woods for some fall vacationing, so some insider restaurant recommendations:<\/p>\n

\nThe Osprey<\/a>: Basic seafood and eats at the local marina – I’m here a few times a week at least. Great place, decent food, good Shipyard<\/a> on tap, and views you can’t beat. Only open till early fall. Crowd is mostly a mix of working fisherman\/lobsterman and yacht club types. <\/p>\n

\nThe Robinhood Free Meetinghouse<\/a>: One of the only legitimate 5 star restaurants in Maine, it’s pretty famous within New England. Reservations are a must, and don’t miss the biscuits. It’s $$$ and a little upscale for my tastes, so I’m not here all that much, but worth a trip for the real gourmets out there.<\/p>\n

\nMama D’s<\/a>: Epitome of an insiders tip, as it’s hard to find. You can get lobsters (if that’s your thing) right off the boat, and eat them right on the water looking across to Boothbay Harbor. Great lunch place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
