It having become painfully evident that the mere fact that I’ve returned from Denver isn’t enough to get the sputtering Red Sox offense going – we’re down 7-1 to the Rockies (yeah, yeah, I know) as I write this – I’ll be rising at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning [1] to make the journey down to Boston to try and turn this ship around. Enough of this losing, I’m tired of it. No, I’m not worried about the standings – I’ll let Seth explain why<\/a> – I’m just sick of seeing good pitching wasted. <\/p>\n

Oh, and there’s some sort of IBM Virtual Worlds conference tomorrow in Cambridge. Or so I hear. <\/p>\n

Monday, I’m left with what could be the dumbest itinerary I’ve scheduled, since, oh, maybe September of 2005<\/a>. Just before 8, I’ll depart for the West Coast. Just before 2, I should touch down. 3-5, I’ve got a client engagement. Just before 12, I’ll be en route back to Maine. <\/p>\n

Yes, I’m serious. <\/p>\n

Dinner for Monday, FYI, is still unbooked, so if you’ve always wondered what it would be like to have dinner with a monk, I’m at your disposal. And will have transport, notably. There’s an outside shot I stay one more day, depending on cost and scheduling, so I’ll keep everyone posted on that score. <\/p>\n

In the meantime, it’s time for bed. <\/p>\n
