After an unexpected layover in Philly, then an unexpected sidetrip in O’Hare, I made it San Fran about 4 hours late. For those scoring at home, my trip went PWM (deicing truck broke):PHL (plane still there, but closed up):ORD (rerouted, 45 minute delay):SFO. For those wondering why I flew into SFO when I’m meeting in San Jose – don’t ask, wasn’t my call. Net is, I’m here.
While I made it, however, my luggage has not. To their credit, American – who I was rerouted on – didn’t simply punt to US Airways, my original carrier. American called US Airways for me, located the bag (in theory), and have promised to get it to my hotel tonight. We’ll see if it shows up, but saving me the effort of having to hike over to Terminal 1 to get the bad news was a real bonus.
Anyway, you all will get some more power-outlet tags later when I unload the Nikon (ORD and PHL). For now, it’s off to dinner.
