I’m Boycotting Planes

Well, not totally. Would that I could. But after yet another trouble free train trip this weekend down to Boston and back, and yet another delay plagued business trip last week, I’m officially boycotting planes when there is a reasonable train alternative. I’ve covered my affection for trains before, but they’re quite simply more convenient, more comfortable, and an all around better way to travel.

So for NYC, DC or the like, it’s train all the way unless my schedule dictates otherwise. West Coast? Well, I may still have to fly that one. But I’ve had it with air travel – I just never get where I’m going without some delay – mechanical, weather, missing flight attendants, ATC, traffic on the tarmac, whatever. No more, if I can avoid it.
