You have to love this quote from UK Software and Service maven [Richard Holway](http://www.ovum.com/about/biogs/default.asp?page=richard.htm):



“**During my 40 years in this business I’ve been pretty good at spotting trends. However, I’ve been pretty p\*\*s poor at getting the timing right**.”



Reminds me of one of the mantras of cynical UK reporters:



**“Paradigm shifts are for people too stupid to spot trends.”**
