Whether or not [web traffic is any kind of measure of analyst influence](http://www.redmonk.com/jgovernor/archives/001355.html), I would speculate that the reason Forrester pips Gartner to the post in web traffic, according some to some recent [HFN](http://www.hfn-ar.com/)-harvested Alexa data, is the impact of one person.



Step forward [Charlene Li](http://forrester.typepad.com/charleneli/), the only analyst at a top tier company I know of taking down walls and living in an [open garden](http://opengardensblog.futuretext.com/). I don’t read her blog, because of some reasons that aren’t relevant to this forum, but I know she is well respected, and evidently does good work.



So well done Charlene. I hope you get a bonus based on the traffic you surely drive.
