Now for the latest exciting episode in my ongoing debunking campaign, [Get These Facts](http://www.redmonk.com/jgovernor/archives/000568.html).

BusinessWeek’s new blog [has gone after Laura DiDio](http://www.businessweek.com/the_thread/techbeat/archives/2005/04/the_truth_about_1.html), Yankee’s [Get The Facts](http://www.microsoft.com/canada/getthefacts/default.mspx) lead. Laura has long been a target of Linux lovers, for her uncompromising defence of the proprietary. But BusinessWeek writer [Steve Hamm](http://www.redmonk.com/jgovernor/archives/000404.html) aims to expose limitations in Yankee’s research approach. It will be interesting to see if a story appears in the print edition; it has to be likely. If you want to contact me for the article Steve i would be more than happy to contribute. I tend to pretty vocal on the subject of [industry analyst ethics](http://www.redmonk.com/jgovernor/archives/000404.html), and RedMonk is doing the best we can to do the right thing.

Meanwhile [a new report from Janco Associates](http://www.e-janco.com/browser.htm) claims Firefox now has 10% of the browser market (via Infoworld). I am a little skeptical, but numbers are always open to interpretation. That’s what makes them so useful in perception management.
