More Traction for Compliance Oriented Architecture

You know those things that put a dirt-eating grin on your face? Things that make you smile and kind of bounce out of your seat. Well one just happened. We recently began a dialogue with James McGovern and it seems fruit is set to burst out of the blossoms on our tree. I am really pleased he sees the value in the work, but i am even more pleased to see him contributing, putting some energy into the mix.

So let’s check out James’ call to action:

I usually read a lot of things very quickly, but felt it was important to pay more attention to the great work done by the folks at RedMonk on Compliance Oriented Architecture. I would like to participate and ask others to also consider not stopping where they left off but to take it even deeper using their work as a foundation. I propose that collectively, the community puts their heads together and creates several derivative works off their efforts

For the record, if Bruce Schneier had any interest we’d freak out. Noone understands risk better, and compliance is all about managing risk.

James’ timing is impeccable (or is it ours?) – we’re actually ready to start building out a lightweight architecture of participation for COA – its wiki o’clock.

Oh yeah James. You say dont stop “where they left off” – we didn’t stop. That was just version 1.0. The community will help us get to version 1.1. More depth is essential for the model. RulesSphere was the first fork though, fwiw.
