The Link between Tech adoption and facial hair

Never mind the skills, look to the facial hair. Thanks to Tamir Kason for the idea that to make a technology stick you need a beard. He has lots of great examples and doesn’t even call out James Gosling!

This piece was interesting given something i was wondering yesterday. I was reading an article with a bunch of IT managers complaining about their lack of influence in the organization. They all had beards. Lose the beards guys–if you want to be taken seriously by business people you probably have shave. Richard Branson seems like the exception but how many CxOs do you know with lambchops?

Seems like you need facial hair if you want your language widely adopted but not if you want to be a CIO…
