As a quick run through I spoke with the following companies, loosely grouped by category<\/p>\n<p><strong>Storage<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/clusterhq.com\">ClusterHQ<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/portworx.com\/\">PortWorx<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Monitoring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sysdig.com\">sysdig<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.datadoghq.com\/\">DataDog<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Code, Workflows &amp; Deployment<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dchq.io\">DCHQ<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/cloudbees.com\">CloudBees<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/codefresh.io\/\">CodeFresh<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wercker.com\/\">Wercker<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bitnami.com\/\">Bitnami<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Infrastructure\/Networking<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.projectcalico.org\/\">Project Calico<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.metaswitch.com\/\">Metaswitch<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/rancher.com\/\">Rancher Labs<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Security<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.twistlock.com\/\">TwistLock<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Large Vendors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/microsoft.com\">Microsoft<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ibm.com\">IBM<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I also had some background conversations with <a href=\"http:\/\/weave.works\">Weaveworks<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cloudsoftcorp.com\/\">Cloudsoft<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/google.com\">Google<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/giantswarm.io\/\">Giant Swarm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The stand out product for me, and definitely for quite a few people\u00a0I spoke with, was <a href=\"http:\/\/sysdig.com\">sysdig<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We at RedMonk had gotten a briefing from <a href=\"http:\/\/sysdig.com\">sysdig<\/a> a few weeks back, and I wanted to get a further update on their <a href=\"https:\/\/sysdig.com\/monitoring-kubernetes-with-sysdig-cloud\/\">announcements from Kubecon<\/a>, and dig a little further into their demo. Building on top of the sysdig project, the sysdig cloud offers the ability to visualize services at a high level and drill down through multiple layers to see what is occurring in individual containers both in realtime and historically. The integration with Kubernetes was especially interesting to see in action.<\/p>\n<p>For developers another notable product release is <a href=\"https:\/\/clusterhq.com\/dvol\/\">dvol<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/clusterhq.com\">ClusterHQ<\/a>, a tool for doing version control on development databases by taking snapshots of Docker volumes.
