As ever with Spiceworks, they&#8217;re trying to improve the day-to-day of their user base, here by automating a process that would otherwise be very time consuming.<\/p>\n<p>I wrote up <a href=\"http:\/\/community.spiceworks.com\/pages\/redmonk#topic_147642\">a related piece<\/a> on <a href=\"http:\/\/community.spiceworks.com\/pages\/redmonk\">our Spiceworks page<\/a> going over some ideas for the future of IT buying. The more vendors that sign up, the better a &#8220;marketplace&#8221; it&#8217;ll be, as <a href=\"http:\/\/community.spiceworks.com\/pages\/redmonk#topic_147642\">I get into in my piece over on the Spiceworks RedMonk page<\/a>, there&#8217;s some interesting collaborative IT management (or &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.redmonk.com\/cote\/2011\/06\/14\/social-it-with-servicenow\/\">social IT<\/a>&#8221; as some call it now-a-days) potential as well.
