One that&#8217;s painfully rared it&#8217;s head a lot recently is something that would create a tag cloud out of all the tag-silos I send tags down: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/cote\/tags\/\">flickr<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/del.icio.us\/bushwald\">del.icio.us<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/blogs\/http%3A%2F%2Fwww.redmonk.com%2Fcote\">Technorati<\/a> (via tags in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peopleoverprocess.com\">this blog<\/a>), and other tag-enabled sites like upcoming.org.<\/p>\n<p>Usually, these sites have their <i>own<\/i> tag-cloud &#8220;wdigets&#8221; (JavaScript includes), but I haven&#8217;t come across one that sucks in tags from all those sources and then presents a view along the lines of &#8220;Cot&eacute;&#8217;s Tags.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The first, perhaps core, problem would be figuring out where to go when you click on a tag. For example, I tag a lot of things in all places with &#8220;sysmgmt&#8221; (short for &#8220;systems management&#8221;). How would you display all the links in <a href=\"http:\/\/del.icio.us\/bushwald\/sysmgmt\">del.icio.us<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.technorati.com\/search\/sysmgmt?from=http:\/\/www.redmonk.com\/cote\/\">Technorati\/blog<\/a>, and flickr (yes, <a href=\"http:\/\/flickr.com\/search\/?w=12261156%40N00&amp;q=sysmgmt&amp;m=tags\">there&#8217;s plenty in there<\/a>)? More than likely, you&#8217;d have another page that listed them side-by-side&#8230;and then things start getting more complex than just a simple JavaScript include.<\/p>\n<p>Oh <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lazyweb.org\/\">lazy web<\/a>!
