From software as a service to cloud to open source, both the cost and accessibility of technology has been on a downward trajectory for over a decade. On paper, this should be great news for small businesses, and in many cases it has been. In the real world, however, SMBs have in many respects been left behind by technology because the advice they’re getting hasn’t kept up. To explore this, we talk to Matt Newman, a small business owner and attorney, whose recent experience with the technology industry has been less than impressive.
