We got together with Marilyn Pratt from SAP, Linda Bortolus, also from SAP and Jim Spath from Black & Decker at the SAP TechEd 08 conference in Berlin. We discussed corporate social responsibility (CSR), global risk and compliance (GRC) and sustainability. The discussion was led by RedMonk/GreenMonk co-founder James Governor.

At the SAP TechEd 08 conference in Berlin, I had a chance to sit down with SAP’s SDN community evangelist, Craig Cmehil and we talked about the definition of good code (maximum functionality in the minimum CPU cycles with the smallest file footprint) and how this is Green. We then got SAP to commit to holding a Green hacker night!
