I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels this way. You're spot on!

When Boston.com first came out with their mobile site, there was a link on the page which allowed users to view the site in its normal version. This link is now inexplicably missing, meaning there is now no way for me to look at Boston.com on my iPhone, other than on the mobile version.

I sent my feedback to the site requesting the link to come back, and I suggest others to do the same. I'm not sure what those Boston.com tech guys are thinking.

We get this all the time with Blackberry to the statesman.com for the Austin American Statesman. Almost exactly the same problem.

They publish a link via twitter on some hot new story, you click the twitter link on the phone, it takes you to a mobile site that either drops you into a mobile specific menu from where it's impossible to find the story, or they drop you onto a mobile 404 page.

They are http://twitter.com/statesman - it would be useful to know if you have the same problem, then I guess they are using the same provider or aggregator for mobile service...
