		<description>It&#039;s useless to SVN update a tag because by definition tags never, ever change. For your usage it might be good to SVN up to the branch, you&#039;ll just need to remember to switch when there&#039;s a major new version.

In the future we should have a &#039;stable&#039; SVN address that gives you the latest stable version and will update to new major releases when they&#039;re out. That&#039;d be perfect for your type of usage.</description>

The one task I&#039;ve gone to is &quot;single instance&quot; for our multiple blogs. This has saved plenty of time when new WP versions come along. The &quot;single instance&quot; solution we run has two models - &quot;separate databases mode&quot; and &quot;shared databases mode&quot; and we have tested mixing modes with success. For live operations, I prefer the separate databases on a shared WP instance. We could have gone with WP-MU but for a handful of blogs, it was overkill.</description>
