I have a dell 5530 card, which is a rebranded F3507g.
It works like a charm under ubuntu 9.04. I just had to chose my service provider and connection manager did all the rest!

[...] I recently got a 3G card at work and needed to install it on my laptop. I figured that the AT&T provided software was just setting up a dial-up connection with specific settings. Guessing that some Linux geek might have already figured out what the settings where, I used the following search term in Google “Linux Ubuntu Configure AT&T 3G card”.. Lo and behold, the following link showed up http://redmonk.com/sogrady/2008/12/07/how-to-use-an-att-ericsson-f3507g-card-on-ubuntu-intrepid/. [...]

Thanks for the instructions! A couple of items:

1) watch the copy and paste from the web site ... the quotes (") didn't copy over well.
2) i had to specify "isp.cingular" in lower case

Also, I've now gotten connected, but my system isn't recognizing that I have a valid network connection. I see the IP address (remote - 10.64.64.64), (local - 32.179.60.189), (Primary DNS address 209.183.35.23), and (secondary DNS address 209.183.33.23) but I still can not access the net. What am I missing?
