		<description>The SUN/java versus Kodak settlement is not really a good example of patent negotiation in the context of a closed source code. 

The 3 corba-like patents of Kodak/Wang have to do with an object broker architecture not with the JVM, the libraries or even compilers. 

As such the constructs in question were already exposed in the language and its libraries (to make it blatant think about Jni (Java Native Interface for external calls) or Jini (service architecture w/ broker).

This being said,  there were seemingly many prior arts in this case.
