		<description>A few thoughts... I am in full agreement with you on most of your points. I&#039;m not in the business of Big Enterprise, but I think that if you&#039;re running a Windows environment then virtualisation is a huge win. Windows is pretty much tied to the hardware you use. If you need to do a bare metal system restore onto a machine with different hardware the restore will fail. Virtualise the hardware away and all machines are suddenly using the same hardware (or at least the OS thinks so). Restoring suddenly becomes much easier - or at least managable. Virtualisation is not the cure (and indeed can cause more problems), but if you&#039;re running Windows it seems to be the only way to stay sane.</description>
