Remembering a Friend

Three years ago in February, my friend and former teammate Sean Bowler passed away at the age of 29, felled by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He was survived by his wonderful family, and his girlfriend Adena Herskovitz who was by his side through the very end.

As Yahoo Calendar reminded me this morning, today would have been his 32nd birthday, and I would not have the day pass unremarked upon.

He was one of the finest people I have ever known.

Sympathies … ALS/Gehrig’s/Motor Neurone is easily the cruelest affliction I’ve had the misfortune to be a witness to – condolences to all your friend’s friends …

I lost a family member who had ALS a few years back.

    Thanks for honoring Sean’s memory.

My thoughts go out to you and Sean’s family and friends.

Steve, by the way please look for an e-mail I sent your way a week or so ago.

I’m trying to help the widow of a fallen soldier honor his memory and would greatly appreciate your help.

    thanks,dave
