Hate to be the pin to pop the balloon, but I'm skeptical this will ever really take off in the next 5 yrs. Over time we may get there (I'd love to see it happen), but things like data (which I'll call documents, spreadsheets, chat xml logs, pictures, audio) need to become a service in the process and need a hosting service. That raises all kinds of issues: privacy, security, online access... proprietary (who owns the data). I'd love to see it happen but right now I'd have to play the devil's advocate card and just hope someone can build a way to "fix the glitch".
