Memorial Day weekend certainly was stealthy this year; I didn’t even see it sneaking up on me, but I guess I shouldn’t feel bad. One of my uncle’s also didn’t see it coming, and is going to miss a family gathering on the Cape as a result.
Whether I expected it or not, however, Memorial Day weekend is indeed upon us. If there was any confusion about the matter, the sudden infusion of folks From Away into the area would settle the question in short order.
My own schedule looks like this: availability today is spotty, as I’ll be in and out apart from a couple of calls I’ll be taking this afternoon. My original plan to head down to Boston has been undone by a number of factors, but fortunately some of my Boston area friends should be up either late tonight or tomorrow morning for some mayhem.
Let’s hope the original forecast – sun and temps in the high 70’s – holds up. If we get hit instead with this storm front, I’ll be very irked. Irked, you hear me?
