    Yes, problems like this one are worrysome, but that was just an information-light first report. The problem may be elsewhere or long since fixed.

    Well this bug turns out to be bnx2 driver issue and nothing to do with SystemTap as reported here
    http://sourceware.org/ml/systemtap/2007-q1/msg00634.html

    I would also like to mention that using the newer/beta versions of any software has the risk of running into bugs that are still being worked out which is natural.
