Made it into Austin more or less without incident – further bolstering the case that Cote is the new me with respect to his travel luck. Speaking of our area RedMonker, my heads up planning ensured that he’d be out of town on the several days that I’d be here, though we may still meet up on Wednesday.
Apart from the paucity of cabs in the downtown Austin area, the scene here is enjoyable. Dinner at the South Congress Cafe was outstanding, and the weather’s not too bad thus far. The Embassy Suites is no Hotel Marlowe, but it’s not too bad. Wireless is abysmal, though.
